Spring wedding ideas

The weather may not be heating up but the evenings are certainly getting lighter and that got us thinking about Spring fashion’s and how we can incorporate that into the most special day of our lives – the wedding day!

Fabulous Florals
Sumptuous floral fabrics seem to be everywhere at the moment and one of our favourite examples of flower power on your wedding day is the amazing Ian Stuart SouthPacific dress in floral with gold gazar. If you love florals but fancy walking down the isle in the traditional white why not add a hint of flowers somewhere else? From cake stands to chair covers to the subtle hints of Freesia in your perfume, project a hint of fabulous floral into your spring wedding day.

Pencil power
The pencil Skirt was hot property on the catwalk of the Spring/Summer 13 shows and if you are a devoted fashionata you may want the smart tight pencil to feature somewhere (or on someone) for your big day. You may not want to sashay down the isle in a pencil skirt yourself but this doesn’t stop your maid of honour wearing a stunning candy coloured shift dress with pencil skirt or why not go all old school and change into a pencil skirt for your ‘going away’ outfit.

Fluro Fancy
Fluorescent may not be the first colour theme that springs to mind when you are planning your wedding day but it is definitely quirky! Fluro is bang on trend this coming season so why not splash out on a hint of fluro with some funky napkins or even fluorescent name cards.

Wonderful White
Funnily enough white is the hottest colour for summer this year so if you are wearing the traditional colour for a blushing bride you will be on trend down the aisle. Why not keep your marquee tranquil and fill it with white bouquets and crisp white linens …. Just keep the red wine away!

60s sensations
The 60s is another big fashion trend sweeping spring/summer 2013. Short mini skirts and prom style dresses are everywhere and cute Twiggy style headbands are a wonderfully subtle salute to the 60s. From the signature eye make up to some monochrome madness why not get all retro at your wedding. Yeah Baby!
