Say ‘I do’ in Jimmy Choo

As a self-proclaimed shoeaholic, I’m just a tiny bit excited about our big news this week. For all of our shoe-obsessed brides out there, this one’s for you.

We are over the moon to announce we have collaborated with the fabulous Jimmy Choo concession, located in Harvey Nichols Edinburgh, to bring a jaw-dropping bridal range into store. We are so pleased we can offer this luxury service to our customers.

This season Jimmy Choo has introduced a made-to-order service which is available for their bespoke collection, allowing brides to customise their bridal shoes. Brides are able to customise the sole of their shoes with initials or numbers – a truly unique way to celebrate their wedding day. We look forward to styling them alongside our beautiful wedding dresses!

Bridal Trends 2016

Bank holiday Mondays make for a very quick week, happy Thursday folks! We’ve had a lovely few days styling new clients and catching up with La Novia brides at their fittings. Before we say hello to another weekend, I’d like to step back to last weekend…

…Liliana and I had the pleasure of attending one of the biggest bridal exhibitions in our calendar. The White Gallery in London did not disappoint this year. We expect our new collections to arrive early October BUT for our fashion-forward brides who can’t wait that long, I thought I’d share some inside gossip on future trends we spotted.

Lace

As a lace lover, I was pleased to see lace has been favoured by many designers in their 2016 collections. Delicate lace featured on bodices, cap sleeves and back details. We noticed a move away from full lace bridal gowns. Designers were using lace to create added interest, beautiful cuff details and intricately beaded lace are definitely worth looking out for!

Separates Trend

Two pieces have been a massive hit in the fashion industry this spring/summer. Co-ordinates have been taken to a whole new chic level by wedding designers. Modern separates of full pleated skirts (with pockets) and boxy crop tops made in rich brocade fabrics were stunning. This is the trend we’re most excited about!

Simplicity

We found designers have chosen to create gowns of simplistic elegance in their 2016 collections. Soft chiffon made for stunning floating skirts which move with ease. We got a really relaxed vibe from these wedding dresses which are perfect for carefree brides.

Pronovias Merilda – Wedding Dress of the week

It’s always fantastic to be able to share new wedding dresses with you and today, we’re excited to share a Pronovias beauty!

For our brides searching for a dress which is relaxed, accentuates their natural curves and isn’t strapless – this may be ‘The One’. Recently we have found brides are seeking wedding dresses which have structure but remain easy to wear and aren’t restrictive. Marilda really does have it all, with a structured bodice and soft fitted skirt, it is very well designed.

Pronovias Marilda bridal gown has a striking mermaid silhouette, hugging in all the right places. The wedding dress has been created in delicate Chantilly lace with intricate beaded appliques which glimmer when the light catches them. The strap detail follows the sweetheart neckline, down to the low v-back feature. A dramatic train highlights the back detail beautifully.

The gown is now available to try in our Queen Street bridal boutique Edinburgh. If you would like to make an appointment, do not hesitate to give us a call on 0131 556 34455.
