Bridal Birdcage vs Wedding VeilDate posted: June 16, 2015 Author: admin
So you’ve found the perfect wedding dress – now it’s time to match up the perfect bridal accessories. We have a great range of sample veils and birdcages in our Edinburgh bridal boutique. During our bride’s first styling appointment we start playing around with different looks. As always, it’s best to stay open minded.
Birdcages are fantastic for those seeking an informal, less traditional look. Our playful designs use millenary veiling to create stunning, unique pieces. As each birdcage is made by hand, we can tailor them to suit your wedding theme and dress. The beauty of birdcages is that they are truly individual with a vintage twist.
Bridal veils can bring a little excitement to your ceremony – the moment the veil is pulled back to reveal the bride can be quite special. Veils can also be used to cover a bride’s shoulders without having to worry about wearing a bolero or shrug – ideal for religious ceremonies. With gorgeous back detailing being a massive trend this year, veils can draw attention to this area to create a dramatic entrance.
Our in store range of bridal veils are regularly updated with new designs. As each veil is handcrafted we are able to customise them to our bride’s requirements. We have a choice of tulle types and colours. A few of our samples feature delicate Swarovski crystal which catch the light beautifully. Brides can also choose from a range of lace and satin trims. Our simple veils can have a raw edge or a soft curled finish. We can make our veils in any desired length. Our standard lengths are: 35” (shoulder length) 72” (fingertip length) 108” (church/chapel length) 126” (cathedral length).
At La Novia we believe before selecting a birdcage style or choosing your veil length, you should consider your wedding dress and hairstyle. We recommend having a hair trial once you have made your final decision, this will ensure your hairstylist perfects everything for your special day.
