La Novia Bride: Ellie

We think the warmer temperature and sunnier days means spring is upon on us… let’s hope it stays this way! This means we need some wedding inspiration where the sun is shining, here is the perfect example, Ellie.

First things first we want to congratulate Ellie – you look fabulous. The mix of warm reds, pinks, yellows and green in your bouquet and flower scheme adds a splash of colour to the day and ties in perfectly with the outdoor theme of the wedding. On this blog post, we have featured some of the best pictures from her big day.

‘’I wanted to send you some pictures of my beautiful dress that you and your team made. I had so many comments on it and I felt a million dollars!’’

Ellie’s bridal gown is called Olivia by our custom-made designer, Liliana Dabic. There are so many wonderful things about this dress but just to simplify things down to three word – we think we could all agree on timeless, classic and elegant. Olivia is most definitely a dress that will have all your guests in awe, no matter what age or style they may have, you just can’t go wrong with it. The element of this dress is that it doesn’t need anything to make it so special, the cut and structure of this dress is immaculate, this is an especially good option for brides who want to be able to incorporate something fitted without losing a voluminous skirt look. The reason for this ‘double look’ is due to the boned bodice going beyond your waistline, this elongating your body and showing off your curves more than an A-line style would do.

The boat neck, slight off shoulder look is dreamy as well, passing just below your collarbone and adding an extra hint of femininity. This neckline draws eyes to your shoulders and neck, giving you a swan-like elegance, this also allows you to wear to wear a necklace if you wish. Furthermore, as Olivia is one of our more classic pieces, this neckline adds a contemporary touch, this is also achieved by the V at the back, providing contrast to the front and adding a subtle sexiness to the look.

The skirt and train with satin buttons hand stitched down all the way down the gown speaks for itself. If you are looking for a dramatic train, I don’t think you can get much better. What is great about this skirt is that it looks so full and opulent requiring minimal effort, all you need is one your bridesmaids to lift it and let it swoosh in the air before it falls to the ground lying perfectly. Due to the structure of the skirt material, it does not need lots of layers underneath to create this look, it will just move with your body. We provide the option of wearing a hoop if you want to give yourself full freedom around your legs. An invisible hook will also be attached on to make sure it can be pinned up perfectly for your evening service.

Ellie has gone for a simple veil as her only accessory, however, you can embellish the dress as you wish- sparky belt, lace veil, embellished bolero, the list goes on. As always, our made to measure gowns give you the freedom to take your wedding dress in any direction you like!

We think it’s important to have real wedding blogs as there is no doubt that some of the best ideas and bridal brainstorming can come from having insight into couples who have sealed the deal. Through providing you with snapshots of a variety of wedding styles and dresses, we hope to make the start point of this wonderful journey just a tad easier!
