Pop in & let the magic of the dresses speak for themselves

My name is Emma, I am currently undergoing a placement at La Novia Bridal, counting towards my degree. I study Fashion Design with Textiles at Huddersfield University and currently in my third year. Placement in La Novia Bridal boutique allowed me to experience all aspects of bridal fashion design – from sketching and sewing to the styling appointments with our brides to be. I am loving my time working with the La Novia team, learning tricks of the trade from each and every one of them.

To get myself more familiar with the bridal scene, I have been researching the trends for 2017 and put them into a blog post for you all to read. The 2017 trends reflect our collection in store very well.

Classy and Romantic, Blush is going to be that Elegantly Sexy shade up and coming this year. Perfect for modern brides wishing to make a statement.

At La Novia we are keeping up with the trends and offering you blushing brides to be a sneak-peek at our very own pink-hue Wedding Dress. Designed by our in-house designer Liliana Dabic.

Skin-baring choices are featured in store, varying from a Deep Plunge V Neck for the more daring brides, to illusion back bridal dresses. If you love the intricate lace detail flowing from the front of your bridal gown and continued onto the back without it being covered, the illusion back dresses are a perfect fit for you. Creating that modern look with skin on show, while feeling fully covered and confident. Low backs are also in brides to be so if you are not a fan of the illusion back then do not panic we have you covered!

After a more contemporary look?
An Off the Shoulder option for brides wishing to make a slight statement. This can be created and personally adapted to the bride. A wide range of Boleros can offer this style that instantly changes a dress for a more individual look. A bolero can also provide more coverage while still showing off the beautiful cut of our gowns and the lace detailing showing upon your skin. Working closely with our Head designer it allows the brides to adapt elements, from sleeve length to the style of the boleros.

Feathers are coming your way! In the form of shrugs all the way to features on your dress. You could add them onto the cuffs of a bolero for a more seasonal look in the colder months.

Not a fan of birdcages? Hair combs and hair-vines are also a brilliant way to add adornment into your bridal look.

Keep your eyes peeled for some spectacular trains and veils hitting the bridal scene. 3D floral, sparkles, plain edge- you name it, you’ll find it this year.

Embellished dresses strike again with 3D Floral back in for another bridal season!
