Bank holiday Mondays make for a very quick week, happy Thursday folks! We’ve had a lovely few days styling new clients and catching up with La Novia brides at their fittings. Before we say hello to another weekend, I’d like to step back to last weekend…
…Liliana and I had the pleasure of attending one of the biggest bridal exhibitions in our calendar. The White Gallery in London did not disappoint this year. We expect our new collections to arrive early October BUT for our fashion-forward brides who can’t wait that long, I thought I’d share some inside gossip on future trends we spotted.
As a lace lover, I was pleased to see lace has been favoured by many designers in their 2016 collections. Delicate lace featured on bodices, cap sleeves and back details. We noticed a move away from full lace bridal gowns. Designers were using lace to create added interest, beautiful cuff details and intricately beaded lace are definitely worth looking out for!
Two pieces have been a massive hit in the fashion industry this spring/summer. Co-ordinates have been taken to a whole new chic level by wedding designers. Modern separates of full pleated skirts (with pockets) and boxy crop tops made in rich brocade fabrics were stunning. This is the trend we’re most excited about!
We found designers have chosen to create gowns of simplistic elegance in their 2016 collections. Soft chiffon made for stunning floating skirts which move with ease. We got a really relaxed vibe from these wedding dresses which are perfect for carefree brides.
